Tikai

"Beads"

"Beads" are the traditional ornaments for the Dayaks. Beads are made from the soil and the patterns are formed traditionally. Some are also made in modern pattern.

IBAN TRADIONAL WEAPON

"Parang Ilang" and "Terabai" was used in battle 100 years ago before colonial time. Iban warrior very proud with their weapons. "A man without these weapons just like a man without his soul". This "Parang Ilang" will pass to next generation to the nesxt generation in their own family tree. Now this Parang Ilang shown i this picture keep by the third generations of Kadom Anak Banyoi at Rumah Jana, Batu Matup , Julau.

"Tajau"

Tajau is a family heirloom for the Ibans. Tajau comes from China thousand of years ago. Most of the Tajau were tarded during "Barter Trade System" from chinese traders.

"Kain"

"Kain" worn by the Iban women long time ago during Gawai festival and other ceremonial festivals. Kain was weaved tradionally by the Iban women. The Colour/dye used was made from jungle plants
